Longmont council to Latino Chamber: we'll consider $5K request one more time

The Longmont City Council on Tuesday gave Latino Chamber Executive Director Jose Beteta another chance at the $5,000 he says he needs to pay for the Colorado Latino Festival the chamber hosted in June.

Other members of the chamber on June 14 had asked the council for money while Beteta was dealing with the aftermath of his father's death in Maryland. The council denied that request of $10,000, saying the request came too close to the event. MORE
