Latino Chamber returns to Longmont council with festival funding request
Latino Chamber of Boulder County Executive Director Jose Beteta approached the Longmont City Council on Tuesday to seek help funding the festival the chamber hosted on June 26, but the group came away from its second request without the money.
Other members of the chamber on June 14 had asked the council for money while Beteta was dealing with the aftermath of his father's death in Maryland. The council denied that request, saying the request came too close to the event.
