Sugary-drinks excise tax appears headed for Boulder ballot
Supporters of an excise tax of 2 cents per ounce on sugary drinks delivered 9,417 signatures — well more than the roughly 4,700 required — to city clerk Lynnette Beck at the Boulder municipal building late Monday morning.
Voters will decide in November whether to install the tax, pending Beck's approval of the signatures.
