Meet those who make a difference in Boulder County
Tamil Maldonado, of Boulder, is director of Barrio E' (meaning "Neighborhood Is"), which brings awareness of different cultures, promotes inclusiveness and strengthens cultural identity in creating a welcoming environment where people can connect. Maldonado has opened doors to diversifying the arts in Colorado by teaching the history associated with Latin rhythms, as well as creating partnerships with local arts organizations so that other Latinos and people of color are more frequently able to display their art and culture.
