Meet our 2016 Boulder County Latino Chamber of Commerce Board, a talented group of local individuals who have been appointed to carry out the task of bridging the gap between Latino and non-Latino businesses, advocate for the rights of our member business owners, provide events that encourage networking and progress and educate our community about the importance of business unity. Meet each one of them.

Meet the 2016 Latino Chamber Board

Bianca Gallegos

Board President

Bianca Gallegos is a is a Colorado native and currently serves her community as Assistant Principal at Arapahoe Campus in Boulder and Assistant CTE Director for the Boulder Valley School District. Bianca graduated from Boulder High School, earned her BA from CU Boulder, her M.Ed. from Regis University and is a doctoral student at CU Denver.

Bianca is honored to serve on the the board because she is passionate about empowering youth through a strong partnership with the Latino Chamber. Bianca serves as liaison between youth in the Boulder County Community and the Latino Chamber of Commerce. Bianca facilitates leadership opportunities for students and creates ways in which the board's decisions are guided by youth voice.Bianca is the Latino Chamber's first female Board President, and she looks forward to finding innovative ways of serving and empowering the Latino Community. 

Bianca and her husband have two young sons, she and her family enjoy visiting Isla Mujeres, reading, dancing, cooking and spending time together.

Bianca is honored to serve as a board member because she is passionate about serving and empowering youth.  During her term, Bianca will be a liaison between youth in the Boulder community and the Latino Chamber of Commerce as she will provide leadership opportunities for students and will create ways in which the board's decisions will be guided by youth voice.

Blanca Rojas

Board Treasurer

Blanca Rojas is the Founder and Principal of Blanca's Tax Service, LLC in Longmont, CO. Blanca joined the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Boulder County in January 2013 as the Board Treasurer, and she will continue in that role in 2014.

 Blanca obtained her diploma as a Private Investigator from Penn Foster Career School.  After working for the school district for eleven years she decided to resign to stay home with her 21 month old daughter. Her first job for the district was English as a Second Language Tutor for elementary, middle, and high school. The second job was an Administrative Support Technician at the Adult Education Program. 

 Blanca volunteers as a Box Tops coordinator at her son’s elementary school.  She enjoys organizing box tops for the entire school. The money obtained from this project benefit teachers and other activities in the school.

Tomas Perez

Board Member

Tomás A. Perez was born and raised in Southern Colorado where he learned the values of family, hard work and community.  He arrived in Boulder County in 1978 to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder and began his first business in 1984; Bolder Services, Ltd., a landscape and construction contracting business.In 1989 he was recruited by the Longs Peak Council of the Boy Scouts of America as their Community Relations Director and charged with bringing the opportunities of the youth program to hundreds of Latino and at-risk youth throughout Boulder, Larimer and Weld counties of Colorado.  In 1995, the Boulder County United Way (now known as Foothills United Way) hired him as the Campaign and Marketing Director to manage that year’s fundraising campaign, raising funds for the various nonprofit and human service organizations throughout Boulder County.  After a successful United Way  campaign, he was recruited in 1996 by the Minority Business Leadership Council of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce to become the first  Executive Director of the newly formed Minority Resume Exchange, a nonprofit structured to assist local employers recruit and hire qualified minority candidates.In 1999, Mr. Perez joined C.A.B. Computer Group, Inc., as President and General Manager.  The company grew from a significant metro Denver company to a national company with client businesses as far away as Hawaii and Alaska.  The company sold to US Computer Solutions of California and Mr. Perez and his wife formed TARA Enterprise Corporation, to manage the credit card processing accounts they had developed while at C.A.B. Computer Group and otherwise.In 2006, He and his wife opened the Rockin’ Rose Gallery in downtown Longmont selling original and antiquated art, sculptures and jewelry.  They also bought and renovated the building located at 316 Main Street, Longmont to function as offices for TARA Enterprise Corporation.After taking some time to raise his two youngest children, in 2009 Mr. Perez was hired as a case manager with Employment Services of Weld County, assisting unemployed and under employed residents of Weld County navigate unemployment insurance requirements, find new training opportunities, participate in support programs and pursue new job(s) they will need to make their way back to a sustainable living.In 2013, Mr. Perez assisted his eldest brother, Jess M. Perez, launch his private law practice, The Law Firm of Jess M. Perez, P.C. in Loveland, Colorado.  The firm concentrates on serving an ever growing population of Spanish speaking clientele with Workers’ Compensation, Social Security and Personal Injury cases. In 2015 the law firm opened an administrative office in downtown Longmont at the Old Town Marketplace located at 332 Main Street where Tomas holds daily office hours.In 2015, Mr. Perez also opened The ART Spot, ltd., an “art shop” and soon Longmont’s ART Spot, an art co-op within the Old Town Marketplace to reinvigorate the love of art and interacting with the general public as they too share their passion for the arts and community and supporting small businesses in our community.

Jose D. Beteta

Executive Director

Owner of Leaptech Solutions, an I.T Consulting company that works with the needs of small companies in all industries, Jose is a very energetic leader both in the Latino Chamber and his other endeavours. Besides Leaptech and the Board, Jose actively works to bring programs that enrich culture, education and values of community with wife, Tamil Maldonado with groups such as its co-creation Barrio E'.Jose is working closely with his Board at the Latino Chamber to bring education, resources technology and visibility to the Latino community, working to bridge the gap that exists between Latino and non-Latino businesses and drawing membership by educating the general public about the stigmas that surround Latinos and their businesses.Jose is also on the City of Boulder Human Relation's Commission, the Longmont Economic Development Partnership, One Action Arts + Immigration Project and on Governor John Hickenlooper's Minority Business Advisory Council for the State of Colorado.
